Free COVID-19 mobile testing on July 13th

A FREE COVID-19 mobile testing unit will open at Crump Stadium beginning Monday, July 13th, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Please click here for more details. 


'Sweet Cash’ Program Supports Local Businesses, Thanks Frontline Workers
Sugar Land, TX – In an effort to help support businesses that have been negatively affected by COVID-19, the city of Sugar Land and its Sugar Land 4B Corporation are implementing a new initiative called “Sweet Cash” that will leverage private dollars to support local businesses as part of its #AllInForSLTX business recovery effort. Using funds restricted solely for economic development purposes from the Sugar Land 4B Corporation, the Sweet Cash program is both a creative and philanthropic way to stimulate the local economy and encourage shoppers to re-engage with local businesses as the city continues to reopen. Click here for more details. 


COVID-19 Response Update
Management Office: In order to maintain management responsibilities to our communities, office staff has been minimized with all other staff working remotely until authorized to return to the  office. Protocols have been put into place in compliance with government guidelines as we are permitted to re-open. 

Community Inspections: Community inspections are being conducted weekly.  Items that are being noted on inspections include unapproved improvements, self-help work orders, certified demand letters for (severe) lawn maintenance and other self-help violations Routine monthly inspections will resume in the month of June. If owners are experiencing difficulties related to the pandemic, a request for more time to cure the violation/concern can be submitted to the Board for review.

Suspension of Board Meetings: Until restrictions are amended to allow group gatherings, in-person board meetings have been suspended. Any necessary board meetings will be held by  teleconference. Notice of any teleconference board meetings will be posted to the website and sent as an email blast as in the past.  The meeting notice will include information necessary for owners to participate in the teleconference meeting.

Closure of Common Areas Common area playgrounds continue to be closed until proper authorities deem it safe to re-open.

Suspension of Community Event Attendance: All community events have been suspended until further notice.

2020 Pool Season
Your Parkglen West Board has agreed that opening the pool under the current capacity limitations (25%) and restrictions is not feasible for the community.  The Board has decided to keep the pool closed for the 2020 pool season. The Board understands the pool is a very big part of our community, however, the need to manage the facility safely for our residents is the highest priority.

2020 Annual Assessment Payment Reminder
The annual assessments were due on January 1, 2020. They are considered late after January 31, 2020.

We encourage all owners to submit payment for any outstanding assessment balances. Collection notices will be sent to all owners with an account balance in the coming weeks.  If owners are experiencing difficulties related to the pandemic, a request can be submitted for payment deferment and/or extended payment plans to the Board for review. Please contact Pennie Johnston in our accounting department at MASC Austin Properties, Inc. via phone at (713) 776-1771 or via email pjohnston@mascapi.com to make the necessary payment if you haven't paid your 2020 annual  assessments.


Make Sure To Submit Before Starting An Improvement                            
We have noticed many homeowners are taking advantage of this time to make improvements to their home.  Just as a reminder if you are making any type of improvement to the exterior of your home, you must first submit an Architectural Improvement request form to MASC Austin Properties, Inc. before starting the work. (This includes painting the exterior, room addition, and replacement of the roof, driveway and fence.)

You can find the required form on under the DOCUMENTS tab. Please make sure to submit the form with the necessary information and samples for a quicker response.  We are receiving several applications and processing as quickly as possible to avoid delays in the work being done.

AT&T will be doing work in the community

Attention residents please note that AT&T will be doing work within the community. They will be knocking on doors to access your back yard. This work will be taking 2 to 3 months. Please cooperate and allow workers in the back to complete their job. 


Noise Complaints

All Parkglen West Residents it has been brought to our attention that there are homes playing loud music through the evening and very loud during the day. Neighborhood Depository & Recycling Centers’ Change in Hours Due To Beginning of Daylight Savings Time
Homeowners and Residents may take their recyclables or dispose of their Junk Waste at the following location at no cost to homeowners. 10785 SW Freeway, Houston TX 77074


Open: Wednesday – Sunday; 10 am – 7 pm

Each user must provide proof of residency, including a Texas Driver’s License or any other valid Texas ID and a current water/utility bill or city property tax receipt. The Depositories accept furniture, tree limbs, stoves and other large appliances. Appliances containing refrigerant must have a tag attached to them certifying that a qualified technician has removed the refrigerant. Depositories will also accept up to 5 automobile tires per month per residential unit. A maximum of four cubic yards of building material (not to include roofing shingles, brick, plaster) will be accepted; however Depository ramps will not accommodate trailers over 16 feet long or four feet high.

All Depositories also accept recyclables. Materials accepted include tree waste, concrete, mattresses, aluminum and tin cans, plastic bottles and jugs (#1 - #5 and #7), newspapers and magazines, glass bottles and jars, and used motor oil. Clothing & shoes are accepted at the North and Southeast Depositories.

MASC Austin Properties is our new management company

Parkglen West Community Improvement Association has hired MASC Austin Properties, Inc. as its new management company. However, it has come to the attention of the Board that Parkglen West’s former management company, Genesis Community Management, Inc., has been in contact with some homeowners and continues to hold itself out as Parkglen West’s management company. Parkglen terminated its management agreement with Genesis Management, Inc. Accordingly, Genesis Community Management, Inc. has no authority to collect funds or take any action on behalf of Parkglen West. If you have received any correspondence or demand from Genesis, please direct your response to: MASC Austin Properties, Inc., 945 Eldridge Road, Sugar Land,Texas 77478 (713) 776-1771 (Phone) or (713) 776-1777 (Fax). Please disregard any bills for 2018 assessments received from Genesis. Thank you for your cooperation.
